Ok, so Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 is now available, not a preview or a refresh or anything, the full Beta 2 now, available here :

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/downloads/default.mspx

BUT,

I have the IE 7 Beta 2 Preview, or Beta 2 Refresh, whatever the last public one was, installed, so I need to uninstall it before installing this new Beta 2 right ?

Ok, heres my prob, I can't figure out why. I go into the Add or Remove Programs panel, Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Preview is listed right there, not even under XP updates, BUT, when I click the Remove button, NOTHING happens. Have clicked Remove a dozen times, have rebooted and tried it again, still nothing. I can't uninstall it. How the he** do I uninstall it?

Edit :

Crap, I think I just realized why it won't uninstall.

Theres always a bunch of hidden blue uninstall folders at the top of C / Windows after I do Windows Updates. After a week or two when I'm sure I'm never going to have to uninstall any updates, I delete them.

One of them was for IE 7 Beta 2 Preview wasn't it ?

Crap, anyway to still uninstall this without a reformat ? I don't use system restore and never had it on.

I can install the same Exact version of IE 7 Beta 2 preview again, overwrite everything, see if it replaces the missing uninstall files again, and uninstall it. That would probly work.

But, ahh screw it. I been looking for an excuse to do a reformat for a couple weeks anyway. Been too lazy to do it without without a good reason, even tho I've wanted to. I got one now.

I already did my format today. Wanted to do one anyway. Now if the stupid UPS guy would just get here so I can go play BF2 with my new extra gig of ram.

lol yea I am a diehard Firefox user, I just installed it one day for the heck of it, might as well have tabs in IE too when I actually use it for that whole 2 minutes a day.

[glow=red:1ed12f937e]Mike, I have not dumped any files and I have the same problem. Really wish I could find a solution but so far nothing has worked so I am stuck with the older version. Maybe Micron will know something.[/glow:1ed12f937e]
