New posts

I usually login every couple of days and click on the NEW POSTS link, in brackets it might say for instance (26) , but on continuing there are only 4or5 posts...no big deal just wondering why the number of posts indicated do not show? :roll:

This may be because if you have, say 6 categories, when you click New Posts (26) you are getting all the new posts, just that there may be 8 posts in the first link, 6 in the other and so on.

Example, we have new members come over from Graphics Playground. When you click New Posts (number) for the category of Howdy will show on 1 line BUT, there may be 6 posts within that category.

This happens when topics are active, and sometimes there are only 1 or 2 posts in a single category, so if there's 26 posts, it will look as if there are more.

At this moment I see New Posts (15) but only 4 categories. Next to the Author in New Posts is the Replies column, this should states there are quite a few posts, by looking at the post, each one at the top will have Posted Today, Yesterday or the dates previous.

Hope this helps. The New Posts counter is working ok.
