Hi all!

I live in California with my husband since we got married in December 2004. I was from Quebec before and was working as a teacher in a French pre-school. I studied Fine Arts at College and then I went on taking English As a Second Language Studies in order to be able to teach both Arts and English at school.

I have always being interested in Arts, drawing especially. When I was a small girl I liked to draw caricatures of my friends and write my own comic stories. At 14, I started doing paintings and pastel drawings. I've never stopped since then. My favourite subjects are faces, landscapes; mystical forest scenes and the like.

I started to be interested in computers in 2002 and I bought my first computer. I got involved in Graphics not very long after. It was not very easy at first for I had to learn by myself and most material I found to learn
was not written in my first language (French) nevertheless, the English background I had helped me a lot and later on I acquired my first graphic program Paint Shop Pro in 2003 (I got more programs after).

Although I still practice drawing and painting, I try to find time enough for computer graphics. I like also browsing the internet and look at other people's material. There are so many talentuous people out there! I find that looking at their Arts is not only inspiring but instructive as well.

I discover this forum when Micron started visiting us at Graphic Playgrounds. I am very impressed by Micron's talent and the graphics he makes. He is real good!

That was all about me. Thanx!

Welcome to you Uguel. You are correct about Michael's talent. He seems to have missed his calling, in my opinion, but extremely knowledgeable in PC's in general. Anyway, welcome to the group, glad you are here.

Hey Uguel

Thanks for your kind words and welcome.

We have a Graphics section here, though small we can add categories for anything you like. So if there's something you would like to see, post it here and I'll add it.

I love caricatures, maybe you could do some of us someday lol.

Anyway, thanks for the big introduction, not had one that good for a long time.

Again, welcome. Hope you have fun here too.

Michael, you are soooo modest. If it was not for you, Graphics Playground and Experience Windows would have never gotten together. Fine job sir, we all mean what we say about you, your great at what you do. My 2 cents worth. :D

Thanks Joe, and for what you said above also.

I can only do my best, and I try. My work, computers and graphics are then only things im good at, so I stick to it lol.

Ive not missed my calling, had that when I had the pleasure of working for Microsoft, but the best is yet to come, maybe lol.

Thanks again Joe and Uguel.

Thanks for the welcome Neo knock, Knock and Micron.

Yes, Micron is very modest, lol. But his Arts speaks for him and it talks great!
Not only he is good but he can adapt to all kind of programs with ease.

Well, I will certainly post a few questions about Graphics and sometimes
about computers in general from time to time.

And yes, I will show some of my graphics too, lol!

TTFN!

Thanks Uguel. Just getting settled back in here after a much needed break ... :) I will get onto GP when I have sorted through the photos I took while away. I decided (probably unwisely) to take a fully manual SLR with me because that camera had the most powerful zoom lenses... the experience was quite challenging after the ease of using a DSLR lol.

Well, we are always happy to have you around. Wow, that camera must be terrific! Right it is always hard to get the hand of a new high-tech device but I am sure that you will get used to it after a while.
