You probably have to be from the States to get it, but I'm cheering for my home team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, in the Superbowl. Since I'm not into tattoos, I thought I'd settle for getting my nails done in honor of the team.

I once painted my face blue with white New York Yankees logos on my cheeks before going to a game, lol.

The fingernail thing is big business. I bet at least 90% of the women I know who get their nails done have some sort of Steelers design.

Those nails are SUPER, but I do not think I will have that done. Maybe my cheeks painted though. And I will not be specific which cheeks. :D

hehe Mike, bet you looked like William Wallace - 'You can take away my baseball, but you'll never take... my freedom' :bb:

lol. Wouldn't look too out of place with a baseball bat and a blue face in modern day Glasgow either.

There was a lot of partying last night. I hear there were about 30 people arrested but none for anything really serious, and overall the fans were very well behaved. They turned over a car, biggest thing, and torn down a canvas awning/sign then set it on fire. From what I hear that was the worst of it and the police said it went well.

Sorry I missed your celebration! I did however root for the Steelers. Since the old days they have been my team. Now that we have one for the thumb! We can start on the other hand. Perhaps be the first team to take SIX!

  8)

There were 300,000 people at the celebratioin parade. They had the team riding in the backs of pickups and other converitble cars, snaking down a couple of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is normally 4 lanes across, I think, but they were just barely able to get the cars through the crowd in single file. Police on horses and motorcycles were trying to hold the people back but barely succeeeded.

It was a lot of fun to watch on TV while lounging on the couch though!
