Google Inc. is adopting new privacy measures to make it more difficult to connect online search requests with the people making them — a thorny issue that provoked a showdown with the U.S. government last year.

With todays totalitarian type governments this is like a bandaid to close grand canyon sized holes.
Funny how some of todays governments allow as little or less freedoms then the cold war communists did.
The freedoms list no longer shows the list of witch counteries have most freedoms in any search engine done with search from north america.
Privacy's like freedom slowly disappeared till no one no longer noticed they were gone!!
