Steve Ballmer blames piracy for slow Vista sales

Well a lot of the reason why xp sales were better then vista. Is that any windows os at the time win98-m.e-95 were very bug ridden probmatic at best.
win2k allways had lack of drivers for many consumers.

Where they are trying to market blast vista onto people with perfectly function fully softwared computers. And vista fluff just not cutting it against this!!

They will do there best to wip third party software companies to quit suporting xp as quick as they can.
But its not piracy at all but but trying to sell widgets to a widget saturated market.

True. I completely agree actually. I remember when XP first came out, I was on Win ME at the time, and I tried it I was like woww this is sooooo much better then ME. But with Vista, it is just, well thats cool but its not really all that different, that much better. I have a copy of Vista here too, and still choose to use XP Pro as my main. And its not even being pirated that much either. Yea the cracks are out there and everything, but,if you look at the number of Vista torrents there actually is and number of downloads the cracks are getting, its still early, but even at this early point XP was being pirated wayyyy more then Vista is too.

I think the piracy angle is just one more calculated media ploy.
I too had m.e and win98 before xp.
xp was and is very stable. Personally i,m tired of the whole forced coercion updates.

If I were to upgrade to Vista from XP, first it would take buying a new video card and another GIG of RAM which would put me at 2 GIGS but when I tested Vista it felt like a glorified version of XP which I am very happy with I might add. Furthermore I am not in the market for a new PC anytime soon. I will stick with XP and let Balmer blow his hot air.
