This is a general question concerning the U3 system. Supposedly, U3 and Sandisk have teamed up and have created a so called system. Recently have purchased a 1 gig stick and preloaded onto stick is this U3. I think the main purpose of the U3 loaded on stick is to be able to take your stick and plug into any PC and be able to do what ever you were able to do with your own PC.
Questions are has anyone used this system, any pro or con of using?
There are many FREE downloads plus some ya need to pay for when using the U3 system. Example of one is a program EXACTLY like Office that reads and writes like MS Office and it is free. Anyway has anyone had the opportuntity to experience this system? There website for info is da!! U3.com, check it out

I've never used it myself.

What is the free program like office? Is it OpenOffice, or AbiWord, or something else entirely?

I have used Open Office but didn't find it as easy to use as the MS offerings - call me a coward lol. I did find that it had a richer set of features than the then current MS Office had though. I have installed it for people who quite simply couldn't afford the rather rich prices attached to MS Office. I haven't tried U3, will give it a go!
