When an image on say a forum for example, is a little red cross in a white box, i right click and show pic, but still nothing happens, whats wrong there?

How do i stop programms from auto starting in startup in system tray, i have a ASUS AI booster that comes on all the time, wanted to turn this off to run ASUS cool n quiet instead?

I use a small stand alone program called Startup Control Panel. For me it's simple to use. Just un-check the box for the program you want to stop running on start up. Nothing to install or uninstall. If you're interested, you can find it HERE (http://mlin.net/).

The red x box in place of a pic is caused by either, a slow server where the pic is located and its load is just timing out, or, the pic is just not actually there anymore, has been deleted or moved to a different server or url then the image is linking to.

Or, if you use some web acceleration software, like, netzero speedbost, or, Earthlink has one now too I think, or any program that does the same thing, be aware that those programs often work by stripping the images off of webpages.

On your second question, I use this program called Startup Control Panel (http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml). Its very easy to use, download the Standalone EXE Version and it doesn't even need installing, just run the file, and it will show you all the startup locations on the PC. Can disable or delete entirely items from starting up with Windows.
