I posted this as a MySpace bulletin today, and thought it worth sharing here as well.

This is my personal opinion and in no way reflects or represents the political stance of eXPerience Windows.

Vote ! Take just 1 minute and read this.

I never, ever, post any of these bulletins, but its time for an important one.

If you are an American citizen, then get out and vote tomorrow. I don't care who you vote for, just that you vote.

It doesn't seem like it much anymore these days, but this is still a democracy, and the people do still have the power in this country, but only if they choose to use it. Over half of this country doesn't bother to vote, and how can we call ourselves the greatest democracy in the world when half our citizens don't participate in it.

Many people don't think this election is a very important one, as it is not a presidential election, but the truth is this election is even more important then a presidential election, and maybe the most important election in the history of this country. Our system of government is split into three separate houses of power, it was designed this way to prevent abuse of power and to maintain a system of checks and balances. The president is not above this system, and does not have unlimited power, even tho it seems that way lately. The founding fathers anticipated someday a president abusing his power, and specifically designed our system of government to stop it. But this system of checks and balances does not work when one political party controls all three houses, and just generally lacks the courage to stand up to the wrongdoings of a president.

If like me, you are sick and tired of a war started on completely fabricated lies, of a constant assault on our civil liberties and a gradual eradication of our sacred bill of rights, then vote with me tomorrow to change the power structure in this country. We might be stuck with a president we don't like for another two years, but we can stop his abuse of power right now. The Republican party controls the Senate, and the Congress, as they are the majority party in each, and have too often now rubber stamped everything the president does. We can change that tomorrow, and take away their power and give it to the Democratic party. I don't even like or trust that much either the Democrats, but something must be done, its time for a change, and unfourtunately like it or not we live in a two party system. No other political party has any real chance.

This president, and his political party that the majority of stand by without question, has completely failed us. It has entered us into a war based completely on lies, and have failed to plan with any real strategy a way to fight this war in the long term. It has left incompetent leaders in charge of our armed forces, that don't provide the soldiers in harms way with the proper equipment they need, and has left and even redeployed soldiers suffering from post traumatic stress and depression back into combat units. It has failed to investigate war profiteering on a massive scale, allowing companies like Haliburton to earn billions in profits at the expense of American soldiers lives. It has allowed the president to violate his oath to uphold this country's constitution, by allowing him to conduct massive warrant-less domestic spying on American citizens. It has allowed him to suspend habeas corpus, one of the most sacred rights people in this country have and one of the founding principles of our entire justice system. It has allowed him to legalize the torture of prisoners and completely ignore the acts of the Geneva Convention, and allowed him to deny prisoners, some even American citizens, the right to counsel. There are now American citizens being denied the basic right to legal counsel, one of the core founding principles of our country and a right guaranteed to all citizens.

The Republican party, who controls the majority of both the Senate and the Congress, has allowed him to do all this, and its only going to get worse. Unless we as a people make it stop, and make it stop right now. We as the people in this democracy do have the power to change things, to take away his power, but only if we choose to use it.

If you care about your country, and care about the country that you want your children to live in, then its time to put a stop to the madness of 'King George'. Vote with me tomorrow.

Or vote Republican if you don't agree with anything I say, but vote just the same. I don't care if you don't agree with me, I still want you to vote.

If you're still reading this then I thank you for taking the time to read it.

(And if this gets deleted for some reason, which wouldn't surprise me as MySpace is owned by the same company that owns the notoriously pro-Republican Fox News, then I am finished with MySpace for good.)

I believe in freedom of speech, No-one will remove anything from this site without a court order.

I agree with you Mike, though our country is heading in the same direction. Orwell's 1984, visions of pure white clean cities and guards dressed all in black will soom be a reality.

I'm just hoping that what the American people want and actually choose actually matters. I am quickly becoming extremely outraged at the news coming out of the voting centers already, just see my other replys to the other voting thread I've made this morning. The whole freakin system seems rigged. I'm keeping a very close eye on the machine as I vote today, and if I have even the slightest problem I'm walking out and right to a phone to call the EFF hotline to report it.
