We recently reinstalled XP Home onto Tom's computer. After completing the initial setup, we ran the home networking wizard to set up our network. All was well until his brother came over and played around with it. From what I can see, the most he did was plug up a memory stick and edit some of his word documents and do some browsing after, but after all was said and done, the network places no longer show up on his computer. I was able to bypass this temporarily by clicking run and typing \\computername\sharedfile\ , but this is extremely annoying as we convert vhs to dvd and usually share the files back and forth to burn or edit. Any suggestions on fixing this would be greatly appreciated.
