I'm bored, so thought I'd start a discussion about something I've been watching for a while in the news.

The leading frontrunner to be the official Democratic candidate for the 2008 presidential election is, believe it or not, Hillary Clinton.

What do people think about this? Would she make a good president?

My thoughts...

No ! If the Democrats do run her, then they are practically just handing the election to the Republicans on a silver platter.

Now don't get me wrong, I have no problem whatsoever with a woman being president, I think its about time we do have one, and about time we had a African-American president at that too. But back on point, I have no problem with a woman president, but not her. For the love of god anyone but her.

She has little chance of actually winning. She'd get murdered in a dirty political campaign war, and completely embarrassed in a real debate. Bill might have gotten too frisky with the interns or whatever, but does anyone remember a scandal named Whitewater? That was all her, had nothing to do with Bill. FBI files pertaining to the investigation strangely just up and vanishing, and then, being discovered in the White House. Well how the heck did they get there, gee I wonder. Shes a borderline flat out criminal with her past real estate dealings, but shes managed to get away with it.

But fine, her past aside, lets look at her currently. Shes been a Senator in New York for a couple of years now, and shes, hmm, what has she done again, oh yes, made her two biggest issues, that she cares about the most, flag burning and violent video games. Oh yes, what threats to our country.

And this is the candidate the Democrats actually want to run for president? In an election that practically a Democratic monkey could win too. After 8 years of Bush, I think half this country would vote for Bozo the clown over another Republican. And this is the candidate we want to put into the office of president, in the middle of a war no less. A war hardly anyone wanted that we are now just stuck in and creating even more terrorists with every day, but like it or not, we are stuck in it, and this is the person we want leading us through it?

Just the thought that the Democrats are actually seriously considering her, makes me almost just lose all hope in our system.

Thoughts?

I'd reply but I'd probably be censored so I'm not going to.
